I offer 2 options for 1:1 coaching; these are both held on Zoom as 5 x 1-hour sessions with flexible timings to suit you.

Both options also include access to a reflective journal and recorded guided meditations for your personal use, based on the content of the week’s session.

Option 1 – Standard 5-week Introduction to Meditation Course

This rounded introduction to practising meditation with examples and guidance on how to bring it into your life is perfect for beginners who are unsure where to start.

The content is generalised and similar to what would be taught in a group course, but delivered to you 1:1 so that you have the chance to ask questions/gain feedback without the pressure of being part of a group, and at times that are convenient to you.

Week 1

– Introduction to what Meditation is/isn’t
– How to start your own meditation practice
– What is mindfulness?
– Guided breath and mindfulness meditations

Week 2

– Deep dive into the benefits of meditation including the research behind them
– Guided breath and visualisation meditations

Week 3

– Adapting your meditation practice to suit you
– A brief history of meditation
– Guided mindfulness meditation
– Introduction to loving-kindness meditation

Week 4

– Dealing with distractions
– How meditation affects your body and brain
– Guided loving-kindness and mantra meditations

Week 5

– Maintaining a meditation practice in your own life
– Where next?
– Guided breath, loving-kindness and mindfulness meditations

Option 2 – Bespoke 5-week Course

This option is best for you if you have specific goals in mind or topics you want to learn more about.

Perhaps you have already dabbled with meditation but want to adapt your practice to better fit into your life, or you are struggling with a particular problem (eg anxiety) and would like to explore how meditation could help with this. Or perhaps you simply want the freedom of choosing which aspects of meditation to learn more about.

week 1

The first session is an in-depth consultation where I get to know more about your reasons for seeking meditation coaching, what you’d like to gain from our sessions, and your previous meditation experience (this could be none, or could be plenty – it’s a chance for me to understand where we’re starting from and what has previously suited/not suited you and why). Based on this, we then discuss what aspects of meditation you’d like to learn about, so that I can devise a personalised course for you that meets your goals; this then defines the content of the following 4 sessions.

some examples of areas to focus on may be:

– Trying out a range of different types and techniques of meditation
– Diving deeper into certain types of meditation you find particularly suit you
– Learning about the science and research behind meditation and why it can be effective
– Meditation to help certain conditions (eg anxiety, chronic pain, depression)
– Meditation for different phases of life (eg pregnancy, postpartum, menopause)

(This list is not exhaustive, there may be many other topics you’d like to cover and this will be discussed in the first session.)

Investment: £250** (£50/session)

**Payable in 2 installments: £125 at booking, £125 after second session
